Learning outcomes

Anyone requiring care is entitled to an assessment of their care needs. This is set out in the Community Care & Health (Scotland) Act (2002). It specifies that when assessing care needs the following should be included:

Physical or mental impairment/illness.
If the person is unable to achieve two or more personal outcomes.
These two or more outcomes will have a significant impact on the adults wellbeing.
