Visualisation relaxation is another way to help your patient/client feel calm and relaxed.

This technique is used to create a 'picture' in the mind. We all daydream sometimes when we let our thoughts wander. You can use this skill to create a pleasant and relaxing image, which helps to calm your body and mind. When we focus on a 'visual image' in our mind, we can immerse ourselves fully using all the senses; sight, sound, smell, taste and touch which has been shown to relieve anxiety and tension.

Sometimes this can be guided by a therapist.
