Signs that a carer may need help
Be aware of signs that a carer may need help:
- When the care role is impacting on their own health.
- If they feel they may have to give up work or other activities to care full time.
- Emotional signs which can include – stress, depression, irritability, frustration, loneliness and isolation.
- Physical signs such as – back pain, poor sleep, cancelling their own health appointments, fatigue.
- If the carer has a long-term condition themselves.
