After completing PR it is important for patients to continue exercising to maintain (or further improve) those benefits achieved.

Going for a walk:

Getting out and about is a great way of being more active and it is free. Anything from a trip to the shops to a woodland walk would count. For those who find it difficult getting out of the house, walking within the house or around the garden are good ways of keeping active.

Out with the Kids:

Kids are a great way of getting in shape. How about trying:
  • Going to the swing park
  • Swimming
  • Kicking a ball around
  • Racket sports
  • Hide and seek
  • Treasure hunt

Not only are you getting more active you can have some quality family time.


Out with friends:

Doing activities together can be less daunting and fun. You could try:

  • Bowling
  • Golf
  • Singing

From bowling to badminton you can find something to enjoy together.

Sometimes it is nice to get some space and enjoy activity on your own. Why not try:

  • Arts and crafts

Activity can be used to recharge your batteries and get some quality ‘me’ time.
